June Nonprofit Highlight: NWYS Queer Youth Services

JUNE NONPROFIT HIGHLIGHT: NWYS QUEER YOUTH SERVICES

“At Northwest Youth Services, we affirm youth experience and autonomy, as we work together to foster collective healing and justice, in order to dismantle the systems of oppression that perpetuate youth homelessness.”

Since 1976, NWYS Queer Youth Services has been a beacon of hope for thousands of young people, offering both safety and a pathway to progress. While the world has changed in countless ways over the years, the organization’s unwavering dedication to uplifting and supporting youth remains consistent.

Guided by core values, NWYS Youth Services envisions a future where all young people are recognized as catalysts for a just and liberated society. Their work is rooted in:

  • Community – Recognizing that interdependence makes everyone stronger and that thriving requires connection.

  • Justice & Liberation – Naming and dismantling systemic barriers that perpetuate crisis and poverty.

  • Humanity – Ensuring that every individual feels safe, heard, and valued.

  • Accountability – Committing to continuous learning, growth, and collective healing.

Through these values, NWYS is more than an organization, it is a movement toward a future where all young people can find safety, belonging, and the power to shape their own futures.

Aslan is matching all donations made to the NWYS Queer Youth Services through our online and in-house round up program (up to $2,000) throughout June.
